This comprehensive tour takes you from the imperial cities to the Atlas Mountains, passing through majestic kasbahs, verdant valleys, lush palm groves, and all the way to the great golden dunes of the Sahara Desert.

You will experience two magical nights camping in Merzouga and the Chegaga dunes, enjoy camel rides, traverse desert tracks in a 4x4, visit UNESCO World Heritage sites, and discover the richness of Berber culture. - Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – Welcome and Check-in

Transfer from Marrakech airport to your hotel. Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, our driver will warmly welcome you and take you to your accommodation. After settling in, you can relax in the oriental ambiance of your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Marrakech.

 

- Day 2: Guided Tour of Marrakech – Imperial City and Heritage

Full day to explore the treasures of the Red City. Accompanied by a passionate local guide, you will discover the treasures of Marrakech:

The Majorelle Gardens and the Berber Museum, an oasis of greenery and culture.

The Saadian Tombs and the Ben Youssef Madrasa, testaments to a glorious past.

The sumptuous Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Mosque, emblems of Moroccan architecture.

Stroll through the colorful souks of the UNESCO-listed medina, where the scents of spices mingle with traditional crafts and lively scenes of daily life.

 Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

 

- Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Telouet Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou – Fint Oasis – Ouarzazate

Departure at 8:30 a.m. south through the High Atlas Mountains. Crossing the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260 m), offering breathtaking views of the peaks and Berber villages. Visit to the Kasbah of Telouet, former residence of Pasha El Glaoui, then crossing the Ounila Valley, a historic caravan route. Stop at Aït Ben Haddou, a famous earthen village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and filming location for cult films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate and a stroll through the Fint Oasis, a preserved green oasis in the heart of the desert. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

 

- Day 4: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Road of a Thousand Kasbahs – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges

After breakfast, departure towards Skoura, a vast oasis dotted with date palms and kasbahs. You will visit the Kasbah Amridil, an exceptional example of defensive architecture and rural life. You then continue to Kelaa M'Gouna, the capital of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual festival and rose-based products. You will travel along a little-used Saharan track that crosses stunning landscapes of mountains and cultivated gardens. Lunch will be served in the Dades Gorges, carved by the river between naturally sculpted red rock cliffs. In the afternoon, you will continue to the Todra Gorges, passing through the villages of Ait Hani and Tamtatouchte. These gorges are known for their vertiginous walls reaching 300 meters high, ideal for rock climbing. Check-in at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

 

- Day 5: Todra – Tinghir – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Bivouac in Merzouga

Morning stroll in the Tinghir palm grove and the Todra Gorges. A 4x4 journey into the desert, through the stunning landscapes of the Ziz and Tafilalet valleys. Lunch in Erfoud, the fossil capital. A 4x4 drive across the hamada desert to the Merzouga dunes. A camel trek for an unforgettable sunset ride on the giant dunes of Erg Chebbi. A magical evening in a luxury bivouac. Dinner and overnight stay in the heart of the Sahara.

- Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – Draa Valley – Agdez

After admiring the sunrise over the desert dunes and enjoying a convivial breakfast at the bivouac, you will set off on a walk in the heart of the majestic dunes, taking in the tranquility and raw beauty of the Saharan landscape. Then, you will continue your journey towards Rissani, the former capital of the Alaouite dynasty, famous for its lively traditional market, a vibrant mix of colors, spices, and local crafts. The route then continues to Alnif and then Tazarine, small, authentic villages nestled between mountains and oases, before arriving in N'Kob for a warm lunch in a typical setting. In the afternoon, you will enter the legendary Draa Valley, the longest river valley in Morocco, lined with lush palm groves and fortified mud-brick villages, testaments to a fascinating ancestral heritage. Finally, you will arrive in the peaceful village of Agdez, where you will settle into a comfortable hotel. You will enjoy a traditional dinner in a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after this day full of discoveries.

 

- Day 7: Agdez – Zagora – Tamegroute – M’hamid – Chegaga Dunes

An early departure for a day full of adventure in the heart of the desert tracks, where every moment promises breathtaking landscapes. You will cross the famous Draa Valley, a long ribbon of lush palm groves and fortified villages, before reaching Zagora, the gateway to the desert. You will then visit Tamegroute, a fascinating village known for its handcrafted pottery and its unique spiritual atmosphere. There, you will discover its renowned Koranic library, a veritable treasure trove of ancient manuscripts that bears witness to a rich cultural and religious heritage. Lunch will be in M’Hamid, the last oasis before the vastness of the desert, where calm and serenity envelop you. The afternoon will be dedicated to a spectacular 4x4 journey across 66 kilometers of diverse desert landscapes—from stony regs to vast ergs of golden dunes, passing through rocky hamadas and verdant oases. Upon arrival at the majestic Chegaga dunes, the largest in Morocco, you will embark on a camel ride as the sun sets, painting the desert in shades of red and gold, offering a magical and unforgettable spectacle. You will spend the night in a traditional bivouac under a sky of rare clarity, enveloped in the silence and grandeur of the desert.

 

- Day 8: Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech

Early wake-up call in the heart of the Erg Chegaga dunes to admire a spectacular sunrise, where the first rays illuminate the golden crests of the desert. After a traditional breakfast at the bivouac, you'll set off in a 4x4 towards the mysterious dried-up Lake Iriqui, a vast salt desert with a lunar landscape, ideal for lovers of wilderness and photography. You'll then follow the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally route, an extraordinary adventure through diverse desert landscapes, until you reach the village of Foum Zguid, the gateway to southern Morocco. Lunch will be in Taznakht, a center renowned for its Berber crafts, particularly its handwoven carpets, true works of traditional art that tell the story of the local tribes. In the afternoon, you'll continue your journey towards Marrakech, crossing the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 meters altitude) with its breathtaking panoramas of the High Atlas Mountains, before arriving in the vibrant red city at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel, your heart filled with unforgettable memories.
